An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Éanna is a special school for primary age children with Mild General Learning Disability. Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as per Department of Education and Skills guidelines and should have at least Fetac Level 5 in SEN or similar and current CPI, First Aid or other relevant qualifications. Candidates must have worked in a special school environment and have experience of working with children with mild general intellectual disability, severe speech and language difficulties, extremely challenging behaviour and ASD. Candidates are required to be competent in Lámh and would be expected to have good IT skills and experience with using assistive technology. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school, work well as part of a team, be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.

Duties include working with pupils of all ages, nappy changing, toileting, showering, assisting pupils in the swimming pool and supporting pupils with challenging behaviours. Current Garda Vetting required.
