Cork ETB invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Special Class Teacher in East Cork Community Special School under Permanent Contracts(s) of Employment to take effect immediately. (1 Position initially with the capacity to increase depending on enrolment figures)

East Cork Community Special School is a Community Special School that will provide for the needs of students with autism and complex learning needs and for students with complex learning needs who require the support of a special school, up from the beginning of Primary school to eighteen years of age. The new school will be located on an interim basis in East Cork.

To qualify for appointment candidates must be able to comply with the following;
• Be fully registered under Route 1 (Primary)/Route 4 (Other)/Route 2 (Post Primary) is required.
• A post-graduate qualification in Special Education is desirable.
• Significant experience with children who have a diagnosis of Autism/Autistic Spectrum Disorders and/or General Learning Disability is desired.

An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate. Completed application forms should be submitted online no later than 12:00 noon on Friday the 17th of May, 2024.

Appointments will be subject to Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.

It is expected that interviews will take place after the conclusion of the Recruitment Process.
