The successful candidate must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School

The following skills, knowledge, experience and competencies are desirable:
An understanding and a commitment to the values, vision and Catholic ethos of St. John’s National School and an ability to support and promote school/parish links
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and a range of teaching experience
An excellent level of understanding and knowledge of school leadership, management and administration in a primary school setting
A proven ability to work collaboratively with all staff members, parents, Board of Management and the wider school community
Proficiency in Gaeilge
Evidence of embedding digital technologies in teaching, learning and assessment
A demonstrable commitment to promoting a variety of extra-curricular activities e.g. music, choir/band, sport, etc. among the pupils
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong inter-personal skills required to lead and maintain a happy, active, and progressive school community
