An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Saplings Special School caters for pupils with Autism and Complex Needs (4-18 years old).
Applicants should have experience of working with Autism, as well as experience of working with students with challenging behaviour within a special school setting. Duties, qualifications and salary as outlined on the Dept of Education website.
Saplings Special School is an evidence-based school for children with Autism and complex needs. We have 5 classrooms catering for a total of 30 students. We value individualised, evidence based education, early intervention and assessment. Staff interact with professionals from cross-disciplinary teams delivering individualised evidence-based educational programmes.
Experience working with children with autism in an educational setting is essential. Background or experience in Leadership, ABA, TEACH, PECS, LAMH is an advantage.
