St. Joseph's Adolescent School is attached to St. Vincent's Hospital, Fairview, Dublin 3 and the
HSE. It is recognised by the Department of Education and Skills as a Special School for
students, aged 13 to 18 years, experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. The
school operates under the rules and regulations of the primary school sector and consequently
teachers will be required to teach up to the end of June., The secondary curriculum up to
Leaving Certificate is provided and students are prepared for State Examinations. Some
students are supported in courses such as FETAC/QQI or alternative educational programmes.
The teaching staff work collaboratively with the clinical staff of the hospital as part of the Multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will be teaching in our school at 44 North Great
Georges Street and St Vincent's Hospital Fairview.
This is a Maths position for 12.5 hours per week. (Working 2 and 3 days per week
alternatively) The successful applicant should be willing to teach a range of subjects at Leaving
and Junior Certificate Level.
