The duties of the caretaker shall include:
- The repair of and maintenance of school furniture, windows, fixtures, and fittings etc.
- The upkeep and renewal of the paintwork
- General tidiness of the school, disposal of rubbish, grass cutting, hedge cutting and gardening
- General cleaning and upkeep of school
- Looking after the school plumbing system and repairs
- Monitoring and looking after the school heating system
- These duties are to be performed in accordance with daily conveyed instructions. Other duties of similar quality are not excluded
The caretaker is expected to work under the ethos of the school and its importance is essential
