An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

We are a Special School under the patronage of St. Michael's House who cater for pupils from the ages of 4 - 18 with a Moderate to Severe Intellectual Disability. Many of the pupils have complex needs including Autism, physical disability, care needs and some with behaviours of concern. Knowledge and experience of PECS, Lamh, Positive behaviour management strategies is an advantage.

SMH Special School Ballymun has secondary-topped status. Teachers registered under route 1, 2 or 4 with the Teaching Council may apply.

1 job-sharing post for school year.
