This is an acting teaching principal's role for the 2021/2022 school year (commencing 26th August 2021).
St. Cillian’s N.S. is a co-educational school based just off the Naas Road in Bluebell, Dublin 12. St.Cillian’s N.S. is a small, unique primary school with a strong ethos of inclusion. The school has strong links with local community groups and sporting organisations across Dublin 8, Dublin 10 and Dublin 12.
Candidates should:
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to work enthusiastically with all staff, and show an interest in continuing and strengthening established relationships with the local community.
- A strong knowledge of teaching and learning in communities served by the DEIS scheme & an understanding of DEIS initiatives would be very advantageous.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and have a good understanding of team motivation and innovation.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and good communication skills.
- Applicants should have an in-depth knowledge of the Curriculum and a broad range of teaching experience.
- Have proficient IT Skills.
- Have a high level of understanding and knowledge of Special Needs Education, of inclusion and of diversity in education.
- Be competent and have experience in the area of policy development and collaborative practice.
- Display a high level of commitment to ongoing Professional Development.
- Hold a recognised qualification to teach religious education and be committed to leading and strengthening the Catholic ethos in the school.
