Applications are invited for the position of Permanent Principal Teacher in Phoenix Park Specialist School (Roll no. 19500B)
Phoenix Park Specialist School is a non-denominational, specialist placement primary school for pupils experiencing Severe Emotional Disturbance and/or Behavioural Problems (Severe EBD) under the patronage of the Health Service Executive.
We are looking for a progressive and enthusiastic Principal Teacher with a child centred and holistic approach to educational provision. Leadership experience is essential for this challenging, yet rewarding role.
A post-graduate qualification in Special Education and/or qualifications / experience of crisis de-escalation / intervention (e.g. CPI Pivotal MAPA) are desirable.
Applicants must comply with eligibility criteria for Principalship of Special Schools as set out by the Department of Education in Circular 44/19.
To apply you must be currently registered with the Teaching Council for the purpose of Primary teaching (Special Schools - Route 1 (Primary), Route 4 (Other) excluding Route 4 (2) Post Primary), in accordance with circulars 31/2011, 25/2013, 52/2013 & 44/2019.
