An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This is a part time position of 28 hours per week. St. Joseph's caters for pupils aged 3 to 18 years of age with mild general learning disability. Additionally we have 3 ASD classes and one early intervention class for autism. A panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill future vacancies which may occur in 20/21 school year.
The following competencies are essential for the successful candidate. Understanding of and ability to meet the needs of children with complex disabilities. Experience of working with a team in providing care needs, i.e. toileting, feeding, managing challenging behaviours, the following competencies are highly desirable, ability in the use of Lamh and PECS, use of hoists and ICT skills in assistive technologies.
