An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The pupils who attend Carmona School have severe or profound general learning disabilities. We have a Whole School approach to Positive Behaviour Supports and we also follow a Total Communication approach. We are a small and supportive school team. The school is participating in Droichead to enable NQTs complete their probation. Experience and knowledge of the areas of PECS, Lámh and Positive Behaviour Support is preferable. The school has 8 class teachers, 21 SNAs, 2 nurses and the support of a clinic team.
