An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Triest provides a quality education for pupils with autism and learning disability (moderate and higher) aged 12 - 18 years. There are currently 12 teachers and 38 special needs assistants on the staff.
Criteria for application:
Experience of working with students with autism, intellectual disability and behaviours which challenge in a special school / special class environment is essential.
A minimum requirement of a relevant QQI / Fetac qualification is essential.
Demonstration of flexibility, teamwork and initiative is essential.
Candidates should have a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
Other relevant qualifications / courses (e.g. first aid, positive behaviour support training, MAPA, PECS, LAMH etc.) would be highly desirable.
Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA supplementary panel with supplementary panel rights must furnish a certified copy of a completed panel form PF1 with their application.
