An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Please note that this a fixed term contract but the position is a job share, meaning successful applicant would be working one week on / one week off for the duration of the year .

Kilcoskan is a lively and progressive school in North Co Dublin. We have four mainstream classes and two small classes for students with autism and the available position is in one of the small classes .There are six students in the class all with diagnosis of autism alongside other co-occurring needs and many of the children have specific communication and language delays.

The role would involve helping each student with their self care needs , specifically toileting, feeding and organisational skills and working under the guidance of the class teacher to help the children complete their daily routines.

Applicants would ideally have experience working with autistic children and be willing to learn .
