The Board of Management of St. Peter’s School , Rathgar seeks to appoint in a number of Special Needs Assistants (3) to cover for colleagues on career breaks for the next academic year. St. Peter’s School is an E.B.D school which caters for students from 4 to 18 years with many of the students having autism and mental health difficulties. The teacher student class ratio is 1 to 6.
St. Peter’s School uses restorative practice and a number of other behaviour modification programmes to assist in its work with its young people.
Experience of working in an EDB environment would be an advantage.
Appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, satisfactory referees and Occupational Health Screening.
