The Board of Management of St. Peter’s School , Rathgar seeks to appoint in a permanent capacity a special class teacher with extensive knowledge and capacity to teach mathematics as well as other Junior Cycle subjects at level 3. The successful candidate will teach a number of subjects at Junior Cycle level and short courses on rotation as well having a base class group.
St. Peter’s School is an E.B.D school which caters for students from 4 to 18 years with many of the students having autism and mental health difficulties. The teacher student class ratio is 1 to 6.

St. Peter’s School uses restorative practice and a number of other behaviour modification programmes to assist in its work with its young people.
Experience of working in an EBD environment would be an advantage. Appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements, satisfactory referees and Occupational Health Screening.
