An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Additional Information:

St. Patrick's Special School is a co-educational school for pupils from 4 to 18 years of age who present with either a severe/profound or moderate general learning disability and /or autism. The school comprises 21 class teachers and 46 SNA's with an enrolment of 133 pupils. The groups of students present with autism, severe/ profound and a moderate general learning disability. Experience in working with children in a Special Education setting with additional qualifications in PECS, ABA and TEACCH would be an advantage. Appointment will be subject to vetting requirements as detailed in DES Circular 0031/2016 & Occupational Health Screening.
