Sacred Heart Secondary School, Drogheda is an all-girls, voluntary secondary school operating under the trusteeship of CEIST.
The Board of Management of Sacred Heart Secondary School invites all suitable candidates to apply for this position.
Applicants with SNA panel rights should attach a copy of the completed panel form (PF1 Form) to their application submission.
The role of the SNA in Sacred Heart School primarily aims to support the needs of students across all year groups. The successful candidate will be working within a committed and hard working AEN department.
Applicants for this position must demonstrate:
1. An excellent understanding of role of the Special Needs Assistant, as per Circular 0049/2024 from the DEY
2. An awareness of how to support pupils with Epilepsy, Diabetes. A willingness to support the administration of required medication.
3. An understanding of how to support students with hearing and visual impairments.
5. An ability to adapt to the daily needs of the pupils and the school.
6. Previous experience working within a post primary school setting to include special classes.
7. Willingness to participate in all relevant training and continuous professional development.
This position is subject to the sanction from the DEY and approval from the Board of Management. Appointments are also subject to Garda vetting and the completion of a Statutory Declaration and Form of Understanding.
