An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Rosedale School provides an educational service for pupils aged 3 to 18 years with severe and profound learning disabilities in Galway City. Many of our pupils also present with significant physical disabilities, complex medical needs, challenging behaviour and autism.
Applications are being invited for the posts of 2 full time Fixed term SNAs to cover career break leave. Also being considered is a temporary part time SNA position of 1 day per week (Friday). Minimum qualifications for the post are as follows;
A FETAC level 3 major qualifications on the National Framework of Qualifications, OR
A minimum of three grade D’s in the Junior Certificate, OR
Equivalent
Experience of working in a special school for pupils with a severe/profound learning disability is essential. Relevant training in the areas of Manual Handling and Managing Behaviours which challenge, is desirable. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience and competency in the use of augmentative communication and assistive technologies for pupils across the school, demonstrate the ability to work within a team, have experience working from behavioural support plans and managing behaviours that challenge.

Eligible applicants from the SNA supplementary assignment panel are required to submit a valid certified copy of the Panel Form 1 (PF1) with their application.

Applicants will be shortlisted for interview based on the above criteria.
A maternity cover post will also be filled from the interview process
A panel may be formed for any additional SNA positions that may become available up to the end of 2022/23 school year
