Home Tuition Teacher Required – Malahide, Co. Dublin – 20 Hours per Week
A parent in Malahide, Co. Dublin, is seeking a caring, reliable and suitably qualified teacher to provide 20 hours per week of Department of Education-approved Home Tuition for a 6-year-old autistic child who is currently without a suitable primary school placement.
The Department of Education and Youth has already sanctioned an allocation of 20 hours per week. A replacement tutor is now being sought due to an unexpected change in circumstances before tuition commenced.
The successful applicant should have relevant experience supporting autistic children and children with additional educational needs, including communication, sensory regulation, early literacy, numeracy and school readiness.
Experience with visual supports, play-based learning, individualised education planning and the Irish Primary Curriculum would be particularly welcome.
Requirements:
* Appropriate Teaching Council registration and qualifications meeting the Department’s Home Tuition Scheme requirements.
* Current Garda vetting and willingness to complete the required Department documentation.
* Availability for 20 hours per week.
* Commitment and reliability for the remainder of the 2026/27 school year.
Location: Malahide, Co. Dublin
Hours: 20 hours per week
Commencement: As soon as possible following written Department approval of the nominated tutor.
