An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Scoil Mhuire Brierhill is a vertical mainstream primary school located on the outskirts of Galway City, catering for pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class in both mainstream and autism class settings.
We have one temporary whole-time teaching position available from 9 November 2026 until 25 June 2027. The initial duties will be as a mainstream class teacher.

Candidates should be able to work well as part of an enthusiastic and energetic team of teaching and non-teaching colleagues. Experience in delivering the New Primary Maths Curriculum and the Primary Language Curriculum, team teaching, and supporting the inclusion of pupils from special class settings is desirable.

Appointment will be subject to Garda vetting, occupational health screening, completion of the online Tusla Child Safeguarding Training, and satisfactory references. The successful candidate will be expected to respect pupil and staff confidentiality at all times, and to uphold the Catholic ethos of the school.
