An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St John the Baptist BNS is an all boys, DEIS plus school with classes ranging from 2nd to 6th class. This post is for a mainstream class position for the remainder of the year. There is also a maternity leave post available, which will be filled from these interviews.
Please include a recognised certificate to teach Religious Education and a copy of your Teaching Council Registration with your application. Appointment will be subject to references, current vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
The following skills and experience are desirable:
- Experience of teaching in a DEIS school is advantageous
- Experience of SEN is advantageous
- Experience of multi-grade teaching is advantageous
- Interest in leading sports is advantageous
It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position upon offer of employment.
