POSITION OVERVIEW
* Full-Time Permanent Special Class Teacher (25 Hours / 5 Days per week)
* Based at Linn Dara Approved Centre, Cherry Orchard Hospital Campus, Dublin 10
* Teaching Council registration with recognised qualifications in ONE or more of the following core subjects: English, Gaeilge, Mathematics, or Science.

ABOUT US
Linn Dara Schools are multi-denominational specialist hospital schools under the patronage of the Health Service Executive (HSE). We provide high-quality education that supports recovery and wellbeing for pupils admitted to Linn Dara CAMHS Approved Centre, as well as outpatients of Linn Dara CAMHS Community and other South Dublin teams.
Our existing schools at Cherry Orchard Hospital Campus offer a vibrant and supportive multidisciplinary environment where education and healthcare work together to help young people re-engage, rebuild, and thrive.
Looking ahead, our school expansion will extend educational provision into the Children and Young Person Mental Health (CYPMH) Unit at the new National Children's Hospital Ireland (NCHI), supporting educational continuity for 20 new inpatient beds opening on that campus.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Special Class Teacher at Linn Dara Schools, you will:
* Deliver creative, student-centred learning across a range of subjects and levels at Junior and Senior Cycle.
* Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of educators and healthcare professionals to support pupils' educational and emotional development.
*Bring energy, empathy, and flexibility to a role that is both deeply rewarding and impactful.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
* Qualifications or experience in special and inclusive education or a special school setting.
* A willingness to teach across diverse subject areas and varied ability levels.
* A reflective, collaborative teaching practice with a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS & CONDITIONS
* Teachers are employed as Special Class Teachers under Department of Education terms, receiving the same pay, holidays, and conditions as Primary Teachers.
* Includes the Special School Allowance of €2,550 per annum under Circular 0054/2026.
* Full-time schedule: 25 teaching hours spread over 5 days per week.
