The Board of Management of Killester Park ETNS invites applications for the position of Deputy Principal. This is a permanent position commencing as soon as possible after interview, appointed through open competition and in line with Circular 0044/2019.
Established in 2019, Killester Park ETNS (previously named Killester Raheny Clontarf ETNS) is a vibrant, developing, values driven Educate Together school. We have mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class and two Autism Classes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal as part of the senior leadership team to support the day-to-day running and strategic leadership of the school.
On application for the post, the applicant must meet the following essential criteria:
- Be fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council and have a minimum of five years' recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
- Have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary or post primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
On application for the post, the following criteria are desirable:
- School leadership experience in teaching, learning and curriculum development
- Experience in Special Education Teaching / SEN coordination role / Nurture School Co ordinator role is highly desirable
The roles and responsibilities of this post relate to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in circular 0044/2019

4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Appointments will be subject to Garda Vetting, Medmark requirements and confirmation of Teaching Council Registration.
