An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period(four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the B.O.M. approves the successful candidate.
St.John's N.S is seeking applications for 1 full time Sna Post.
The school values a strong commitment to our Christian values and Catholic ethos.
We are seeking enthusiastic,flexible and committed applicants who are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.The successful candidate maybe deployed in a mainstream/special class(or both) and will work closely with class teachers,SET and the wider school team. They will support pupils with additional care needs and enable them to fully participate in all aspects of school life.
The role will involve supporting more than one pupil during the school day.The successful candidate must be committed to promoting pupil independence,dignity,inclusion and well being while providing appropriate support for educational,social,emotional,behavioural,personal care/medical needs.Deployment may be changed at any stage at the Principal's discretion.
Previous experience of working with children with special needs/additional qualifications are desirable.
Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements and the completion of Children First online training.
