An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St Gabriel's Special School caters mainly for pupils aged 4-18 with Severe/ Profound Intellectual Disability, including such pupils with Autism. It also caters for a small number of pupils with Moderate Intellectual Disability. The majority of these pupils travel to school on Bus Eireann operated School Transport. Routes cover areas including Dungourney, Dunmanway, Charleville and Carrigaline. Pick-up points for escorts are determined by Bus Eireann, which may be at the school or further afield. Escorts must make their way to an assigned pick-up point. We currently are recruiting for a job-sharing position , beginning in Bandon and, also, for relief escorts on multiple runs.
