An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Bus Escort must be available in the mornings/afternoons.
Approximate hours of work Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 9:30 / 10:30 - 11:30

This post is subject to a transport provider confirming their capacity to fulfil the route and exact time schedule.

Proposed start date to be confirmed by transport provider.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Accompanying and ensuring the safety of the students during transit to and from the school.
* Secure seat belts and other safety equipment.
* Assisting the students on and off the the transport vehicle safely.
* Cooperating with the driver and communicating effectively with school management and parents.
* Maintaining a calm, supportive and safe environment during the journey.

Requirements:
* Relevant experience working with children, particularly children with additional educational needs.
* Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
* Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to child safeguarding.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, mandatory Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening.

Salary:
* Payment is at the standard hourly rate set by the Department of Education.
