An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Scoil Bhríde, Dublin 6 are seeking a reliable, caring and child-centred School Transport Bus Escort to accompany and support pupils attending our Autism Classes on their daily journeys to and from school.
Full transport arrangements are currently being finalised. The successful candidate will be required for both an early morning journey to school and an afternoon return journey, meeting the driver at an agreed location. Applicants must be available for both morning and afternoon runs.
The Bus Escort will be responsible for the safety, comfort and wellbeing of pupils during their journey, supporting them in a calm and caring manner and ensuring safe handover between home and school. The role also involves communicating professionally with parents/guardians, the driver and school staff.
We are looking for someone who is warm, patient, dependable and flexible, with good communication skills and an understanding of additional needs. Previous experience caring for or working with autistic children or children with additional needs would be an advantage.
Rate of pay: €15.98 per hour.
