An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management, having initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on 13/08/2026, hereby gives notice that it is extending the period of time within which an expression of interest may be submitted by a teacher on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Killaloe by two calendar days. Expressions of interest should be emailed to muinteoirteresa@slidala.net by 20/08/2026 being 2 calendar days from the date of this advertisement.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
 Probation
 Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school
 Third Level postgraduate qualification or evidence of ongoing CPD in Special Education would be advantageous.
 Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
Aistear, Literacy Lift-Off, IEP’s, Standardised Testing, Guided Reading, Running Records, IT for SEN, Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy. Interests/skills/experience in PE/Sport are advantageous.
