Cross and Passion College invites applications from suitably qualified teachers for a Special Education/Learning Support teaching position.

The successful candidate will work as part of the school’s Special Education Team in supporting students with a range of additional educational needs.

The role may include:
In-class support/team teaching in mainstream classes.
Small-group withdrawal for targeted learning support.
Individual/one-to-one support, where appropriate.
Teaching and supporting students within the school’s special classes, as required.
Working collaboratively with mainstream subject teachers, the Special Education Team, SNAs, Year Heads and school management to support students’ learning and inclusion.
Contributing to the planning, implementation and review of appropriate supports for students with additional educational needs.

Qualifications and Shortlisting
Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Teaching Council.

A qualification, further training and/or relevant experience in Special Education/Additional Educational Needs would be a distinct advantage.

As the successful candidate may also be required to teach mainstream classes as part of their timetable, shortlisting may take account of the subjects for which applicants are registered with the Teaching Council, having regard to the curricular and staffing needs of the school.

Applicants should include with their application:

Their Teaching Council registered subject(s) i.e. Teaching Council registration.
Any qualifications or additional training in Special Education/Additional Educational Needs.
Relevant experience in learning support, team teaching, small-group or individual intervention and/or special-class settings.
