Anglo Singapore International School is seeking a passionate, academically strong, and experienced Secondary Psychology and English Teacher to join our Secondary team in Bangkok. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching Cambridge IGCSE Psychology, as well as Secondary English, supporting students in developing critical thinking, analytical writing, and a deep understanding of human behaviour, literature, and language. This role is suited to a teacher who values intellectual curiosity, academic rigour, and the integration of theory with real-world application within the Cambridge framework.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop students' ability to analyse psychological concepts, evaluate research studies, construct well-supported arguments, and communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
- Foster advanced reading, writing, discussion, and independent research skills across both subject areas.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments and external Cambridge examinations, including essays, source-based questions, structured questions, and extended writing.

- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support continuous academic improvement.
- Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, moderation, and resource development to ensure consistency and high academic standards.
- Support or contribute to subject-related co-curricular activities, enrichment programmes, debating, writing competitions, psychology clubs, or academic events where appropriate.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and intellectually engaging classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, participation, and academic integrity.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and expectations.
- Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and professional conduct.

Qualifications & Experience

- Recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience in Secondary Psychology and/or English (international or Cambridge experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE Psychology syllabus and Cambridge English curricula, including assessment objectives and mark schemes.
- Confidence in teaching psychological research methods, data interpretation, essay writing, literary analysis, language skills, and critical evaluation.
- Strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.
- A clear commitment to academic excellence, professional growth, and student success.
