An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

There are two taxi escort posts available in our school:
One is a job for a taxi escort who will be ensuring the safety of children on their way to and from school. The route covers the local Thomastown area. The escort will work nine hours per week: 8.25am - 9.20am for the morning run, and 2.40pm to 3.35 for the afternoon one. The successful candidate will work nine hours per week and the current pay rate for taxi escorts is €15.66 per hour.
The other is to escort two children being brought to school from the Castlecomer area. The successful candidate can be collected from the school in Thomastown or from the child's home in Castlecomer. Therefore it could suit someone living near Thomastown or near Castlecomer. The successful candidate will work 18 hours per week.
