An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Allen NS is a Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin where the highest standards in teaching and learning are promoted.

The Board of Management of Allen NS initially advertised this permanent vacancy on the 29th day of July, 2026, for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Catholic Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 2nd day of August, 2026.

The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement to the 4th day of August 2026.

The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.

There is one permanent position available at this time and a Maternity Leave position. Any other positions that may become available within a 4 month period may be filled from this round of interviews. Initial allocation may be to a mainstream class/multigrade class/ASD Class/SET Position and may change to meet the needs of the school at any particular time, at the request of the Principal. NQTs will be supported to complete the Droichead process if required.
