This position is for a Special Class Teacher. The successful applicant will be appointed to a newly established Special Class opening in Colehill NS in September 2026 and will play a key role in planning, organising and establishing the class in collaboration with the Principal, Special Needs Assistants, parents/guardians and relevant support services.
Candidates must have Teaching Council Registration. An additional qualification in Special Education is advantageous. However, experience and a genuine interest in, and commitment to, working with students with Special Educational Needs to help them achieve their full potential are extremely important and highly desirable.
The successful applicant will work closely with a team of Special Needs Assistants and the SEN team. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
This appointment is subject to, but not limited to, compliance with Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening requirements, Teaching Council registration, receipt of satisfactory references and proof of qualifications.
Applicants are required to hold a Recognised Certificate to teach Religious Education.
