Powerstown Educate Together National School is a vibrant, innovative and inclusive school community, and we are seeking caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Special Needs Assistants to join our dynamic team.

Our school comprises 16 mainstream classrooms and 10 special classes, where a child-centred, rights-based approach underpins every aspect of school life. We are committed to ensuring that every child experiences a genuine sense of belonging and has equitable opportunities to participate, learn and thrive.

As a Special Needs Assistant in Powerstown ETNS, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to develop independence, confidence, communication, self-advocacy and regulation through nurturing, responsive relationships. We place a strong emphasis on co-regulation, recognising that children thrive when they feel safe, understood and connected. Our SNAs work collaboratively with teachers and multidisciplinary professionals to enable meaningful participation in all aspects of school life, while promoting each child's strengths, autonomy and dignity.

All new staff benefit from a comprehensive induction programme, mentoring and ongoing professional learning, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their role from the outset.
