The bus escort must be available in the mornings and afternoons five days per week. Collection is from the school and drop off will be at the school, therefore Escorts need to make their own way to the school to meet the driver.

Hours as follows:
Mornings 8am - 9am
Afternoons 1:20pm - 3:20pm

Times may vary slightly based on traffic and confirmed route.

• The bus escort will:
-accompany pupils on school bus transport to and from their home to St. Colman's N.S. each day.
- work mornings and afternoons, Monday to Friday, term time only.
-ensure pupil safety and wellbeing while on board:
- assist children getting on and off bus and ensure a safe handover to SNA/teacher/parent/guardian
- secure seat belts and any other safety equipment
- support care needs as required

The hourly rate of pay €15.98 per hour and is in line with the Department of Education and Youth guidelines for school bus escorts.

Only those being called for interview will be contacted.

The successful candidate will require good communication skills as they will be working with children and liaising with school staff, the bus driver and parents/guardians. Experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable.
