POST DETAILS

Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Goatstown Educate Together National School opened in 2019 and is a welcoming and growing Educate Together school. We are committed to equality, inclusion and child-centred education and are proud to have achieved UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Gold status.

We are a restorative and trauma-informed school with a strong focus on nurture, connection and pupil wellbeing. Positive relationships are central to how we support our pupils, families and one another, and we have a friendly, collaborative and supportive staff team.

In the 2026/2027 school year, we will have mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class, as well as one autism class. We are currently located on the Notre Dame Campus in Churchtown and will move in the future to a purpose-built school on Goatstown Road, beside Goatstown Educate Together Secondary School.

We are inviting applications from enthusiastic and committed teachers to cover a maternity leave until 19 March 2027. There is a strong possibility that further work will be available until the end of the school year.

We can offer flexibility regarding the nature of the role, and the successful candidate may work in a mainstream, SET or EAL position, depending on their experience, interests and the needs of the school. We would be delighted to discuss the most suitable placement with the successful candidate.

We would particularly welcome applications from teachers who:

Support the Educate Together ethos
Are committed to inclusive, child-centred education
Value teamwork, collaboration and positive relationships
Have an interest in restorative, trauma-informed and nurture-based practice
Are interested in supporting pupils with a range of strengths and additional needs
Are willing to work collaboratively with teachers, SNAs/ANAs, families and relevant outside agencies

Essential requirements:

A recognised primary teaching qualification
Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Teaching Council
Garda vetting in place before the appointment commences
A commitment to inclusive and child-centred practice
A willingness to contribute positively to a collaborative school team

Interviews will take place on either the 17 or 18 August 2026.

We look forward to hearing from teachers who would like to become part of our growing school community. Email your application to: teachergsetns@gmail.com
