An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on education posts on the 16th day of July, 2026 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Cashel & Emly. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 23rd day of July, 2026
The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on education posts.ie to the 28th day of July 2026. .
The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.

Suitably qualified, registered and vetted teachers with a strong work ethic who understand what effective teaching and learning looks like are invited to apply for the position. Applicants will be expected to collaborate with all members of staff for the development of the whole school and to maximise each child’s chance of success.

Teachers are encouraged to share their own skills and talents beyond teaching hours also be it in relation to children’s learning, extra-curricular activities or whole school development.

Experience of working in an AS class setting and managing challenging behaviour is highly desirable for this position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up a new AS class within our school, which will open this September.
The successful candidate will be willing to work in this position on a long term basis and engage in any relevant CPD.
