The Board of Management of St Mary’s National School, Castlerahan, invites applications for two full-time fixed-term teaching positions for the 2026/2027 school year.
St Mary’s Castlerahan is a co-educational primary school comprising mainstream classes and two special classes for autistic pupils. The successful applicants may be assigned to mainstream or special education depending on the needs of the school.
Applicants should demonstrate:
A strong commitment to creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Effective classroom management skills and an ability to support pupils’ wellbeing, engagement and positive behaviour.
An understanding of the importance of developing positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
An ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a whole-school team.
Experience of, or a strong interest in, supporting pupils with additional and special educational needs. Experience of working with autistic pupils would be an advantage.
A commitment to ongoing professional learning and to contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
Candidates must hold appropriate Teaching Council registration and qualifications recognised by the Department of Education and Youth.
The successful applicants will be required to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete a Form of Undertaking before taking up the positions.
