Applications are invited for the position of Bus Escort at Holywell Educate Together National School, Swords, Co. Dublin.
The role of the Bus Escort is to support autistic children by accompanying them on school transport, including collecting them from and returning them to their homes, and supervising them safely during the journey to and from school.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening prior to appointment. A good command of the English language is essential, and experience working with students with special educational needs is desirable. Ideally the successful candidate will also be a SNA substitute, available for potential substitute work in the school.
The position involves approximately one and a half hours of work before school each morning and again in the afternoon after school. The school day runs from 8:30 to 14:10. Bus escorts work during the school term and are paid approximately €15.82 per hour.
