Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Laserian’s School is recruiting substitute SNAs who have the appropriate qualifications, a willingness to engage in professional development, and a high interest in supporting our students in the age group 4-18 years in all areas of the school.
The substitute panel is required for ongoing cover for our team of 53 SNAs; daily substitution is available.
St. Laserian's School educates learners who present with a Mild, Moderate, or Severe to Profound I.D. Many learners are autistic and present with complex needs.
Experience of managing behaviours that challenge is an advantage.
Applicants will be expected to collaborate with all members of staff for the development of the whole school and to maximise each student’s potential. Experience of working with children/young adults in a Special School setting is an advantage.
Tusla Children’s First Certificate must be completed and submitted with the application.
Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
