An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applicants holding a Panel Form 1 (PF1) should clearly state this and supply a copy of the form as part of their application.
Role Description
The successful candidates may work with children:
Who require support across a range of learning, sensory difficulties and/or intimate care needs
With Autism and complex needs
Experience working with pupils with Autism and emotional, behavioural and communication difficulties is advantageous.
Please Note: As per all positions in schools, SNAs can be allocated to any SNA role in the school at any time at the discretion of the school principal.
Conditions of Appointment
Appointment is subject to the following requirements:
Garda vetting requirements
Occupational Health screening
TUSLA Child Safeguarding Training
A valid Statutory Declaration and the completion of the Form of Undertaking upon offer of employment
These positions are subject to NCSE allocation and SENO review.
