One SNA vacancy starting on Aug 24th 2026. This is a job share cover post.

Overview of the School:
St. Catherine's Senior School has 8 mainstream classes and one ASD class from 2nd to 6th Class. We will become a co-educational school in September 2026.

There are 3 Special Education Teachers, 6 SNAs, a full-time secretary and part time caretaker within the school.

Our school day is from 8.40am to 2.30pm. The role will involve working with a number of children rather than one individual child. SNAs rotate weekly between classes.

The school has a vibrant and diverse enrolment and we are looking for an SNA who will enjoy working in a varied and fast-moving environment. Prioritising inclusion, practicing discretion and confidentiality while maintaining the dignity of our learners are key skills for this role.

- Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and promotion of positive behaviour strategies.
- Experience of working with children with autism, complex needs and learning disabilities desired.
- Applicants must be able to work well within a team, display a strong work ethic, be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
-Applicants must be willing to participate in C.P.D. (continuous professional development) as required as a member of the special education team.

Appointment will be subject to current Garda vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and satisfactory references. Relevant qualifications required, as per Department of Education requirements. This post is subject to annual N.C.S.E. review.
