An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of St. Canice's NS initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the day of 29th June, 2026 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Ossory. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 6th July, 2026. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the day of 9th July, 2026 . The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.

The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrate a willingness to engage in further relevant professional development. Initial duties to include setting up a new ASD class.
