An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

These positions have arisen as we are opening a new class for children with autism.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* A caring, patient and nurturing approach to supporting children.
* A commitment to inclusion and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils.
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility, initiative and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
* A willingness to engage in continuing professional development.
Please note that the successful applicant may be assigned to support pupils in either a mainstream classroom or the school's Autism Class. Duties and placement may change in line with the needs of the school. Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and current Garda Vetting requirements.
