Permanent Special Needs Assistant (SNA) – 0.83 Infant Day Position

Scoil Chríost Rí, Enniscrone invites applications for a permanent 0.83 Infant Day Special Needs Assistant (SNA) position.

This is an Infant Day position. The successful applicant will work the infant school day in accordance with Department of Education guidelines.

Please note that this position is subject to sanction by the Department of Education. The successful applicant may be assigned to support pupils in either a mainstream classroom or the school's Autism Class. Duties and placement may change in line with the needs of the school.

Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

* Autism
* Supporting pupils with additional needs, including pupils with Down syndrome
* Positive Behaviour Support and the management of challenging behaviour
* Communication, sensory and social-emotional supports
* Inclusive educational practices

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with teachers, SNAs and the wider school team to support pupils with identified care and educational needs in accordance with Department of Education guidelines.
