An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Lakeview School caters for children age 5 to 18 with Mild General Learning Disability and Complex Needs. Applicants must be registered under Route 1, 2 or 4 of The Teaching Council. It is essential that the candidate will have experience teaching in a special school and have the necessary skills to work with pupils who have complex profiles. Preference will be given to candidates who have proven experience in the management of students with complex behaviours. Shortlisting may apply.
Applicants are reminded to complete every section of the application form, including degree/diploma level of award. Handwritten applications will be not be accepted. Failure to comply may result in the applicants not being shortlisted for interview. In addition to compliance with vetting legislation, candidates are required to provide names and contact details of only TWO PROFESSIONAL referees. If more than two referees are provided only the first two will be contacted.
