Fixed Term Position
Special class teacher required for St. Christopher's Special School. St. Christopher's Special School caters for pupils aged 4-18 with a Moderate General Learning Disability, pupils with a Severe/Profound General Learning Disability and pupils with Autism & within the Moderate to Severe range of GLD. Many pupils have additional complex needs and/or multiple disabilities and medical needs. Experience working with Autism and/or pupils with Severe/ Profound learning needs in a special school setting is an advantage. The successful applicant should demonstrate experience and competency in the use of AAC technologies for pupils within the above categories of needs. Experience working with pupils who display behaviours of concern is highly desirable.
