Ardscoil na Mara is a coeducational voluntary secondary school under the trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Trust (ERST).

Special Class Teacher commencing August 2026.

Ardscoil na Mara invites applications from suitably qualified/experienced teacher for the position of Teacher of a Special Class catering to the needs of students on the Autism Spectrum, which commences in August 2026. Experience working in a special class for students on the Autism Spectrum is desirable.

The successful candidate will be required to:


Create and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Collaborate with parents, support staff, and other educators.

Provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Develop social communication skills and life skills.

Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.


A Garda Vetting Disclosure, declaration of fitness for employment, and proof of adequate registration with the Teaching Council will be required to be appointed.
