The Board of Management of Cobh Mixed National School invites applications for the position of Principal Teacher.
Cobh Mixed National School is a co-educational Primary School under the patronage of the Church of Ireland Bishop of Cork, Cloyne and Ross.
Cobh Mixed National School is a mainstream school with Deis Status. There are 15 pupils enrolled. Staffing comprises one teaching principal, deployed as a special education teacher (SET) or classroom teacher, and two classroom teachers. There is also a part-time secretary and part-time cleaner.
We are lucky to have a lovely, friendly school community.
The roles and responsibilities of this post relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management as specified in Circular 0044/2019.
1. Leader Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to supporting the Church of Ireland ethos of the school.
Applications are invited strictly by POST ONLY, envelope clearly marked 'Principal Application.'
Please enclose 3 copies of the Standard Application Form for Principalship. Applications are invited strictly from teachers who are fully registered with the Teaching Council.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a primary school in the Republic of Ireland.
The appointment will be subject to Garda vetting, satisfactory references, Occupational Health screening, and the approval of the Patron.
