An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Mhuire, Butlerstown NS, Roll no 14679T under the patronage of The Bishop of Waterford and Lismore seeks applications for a part-time SNA post (0.5 post) for the commencement of the school year 2026/2027.

General description of duties will be in line with Circular 32/2026.
Candidates are expected to have experience working with students with Autism, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), medical conditions, children with complex needs and emotional/behavioural difficulties in a school setting.
Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, flexible, able to work on their own initiative and in a team capacity.
All school staff are expected to engage in relevant CPD and respect school ethos. Evidence of engagement with professional development courses is desirable.

Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements, occupational health screening and completion of Children First on-line training.
